It starts with the breeder | Trofast
Responsible breeders can set up puppies and kittens digitally, so new owners take over a complete profile from the very first day — with no folder of paperwork to hand across or type up again.

What the breeder has already recorded
Date of birth, breed, microchip number, parent animals, photographs, vaccinations, worming and health checks can all be sitting in the profile before the puppy or kitten leaves. This is information that comes into existence anyway — Trofast simply gathers it, instead of letting it end up as loose paperwork.
Handover in one click
Once the animal is sold, the breeder hands the profile over digitally to the new family. Rather than receiving a folder of documents, you get immediate access to the whole history, ready to build on.
Not the same as the official ownership record
The digital handover in Trofast covers the profile's practical data and history. It does not replace the formal registration of a change of owner with the kennel club, which still goes through the official channels — think of it as help with the day-to-day administration, not a legal transfer.
If your breeder does not use Trofast
If your breeder has not created a profile, you can perfectly well start one yourself. Set it up with what you were given — the vaccination card, the sales contract, the pedigree if there is one — and build on from there.

- No. Creating litters and individual puppies or kittens is free for the breeder.
- Does the digital handover replace the official change of ownership?
- No. The handover in Trofast concerns the profile's data and history. Registering the change of owner with the kennel club still happens separately.
- What if my breeder does not use Trofast?
- You can still create the profile yourself from day one and add what you were given by the breeder by hand.
