The plan, said out loud

We are building the legal and technical foundations needed to offer insurance for dogs and cats. It takes time, and it has to be done properly.

In the meantime we are building the platform: the health calendar, the documents, the reminders and the tools for breeders. That part we know how to do, and it is useful to everyone — including the people who never buy a policy from us.

We could have kept quiet about it. But a product that is free without saying why makes people suspicious, and rightly so. So here is why: we earn nothing from Trofast today. We hope that some of the people using the calendar will one day insure their animal with us. That is the whole business.

What is not in place yet

So that it is said plainly, and in the right words:

• There is no Trofast insurance. We do not sell it, and we do not arrange it.
• There is no date for when we will.
• There is no price, no cover and no terms to read.
• We have no agreement with an insurance company.
• We do not hold the permissions required to sell insurance — and until we do, we will not.

If any of that changes, it will say so here. Not in an advert, and not in an email you did not ask for.

Why we think we can build this

We bring experience from founding and running platforms like Klubmodul and Effihub. Klubmodul is a Danish membership system that has run member administration for Danish sports clubs since 2008. Real members, real payments, real day-to-day operations — year after year. The kind of system a club depends on come Monday, when the teams have to be signed up.

Effihub is a Danish time and project management system for consultants, creatives and small businesses — time tracking, project management, prepaid hour packages and a client portal in one. It sits in the same company as Trofast, and we are the ones running it day to day: a different product in a different market, but the same kind of work — something that has to hold up every day for people in a hurry, and that someone writes in about when it does not.

None of that tells you when insurance will arrive. It tells you that we have run things people depend on before.

Trofast is young

We have no user numbers to show off, and we are not going to invent any. Trofast was built in Denmark and is available today in Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and English. That is where we are.

What you can count on in the meantime

The calendar is free. Not a trial that runs out, not a feature that gets locked later. We do not ask for a card. We only write to you about your own animals unless you have said yes to something else — and you can export everything we hold about you, and delete all of it, whenever you like.
